Troop 767 Second Hand Shop
As scout parents ourselves, we understand that sometimes uniform and basic equipment for scouting can be difficult to get hold of and expensive, especially if your child is just starting out or grows out of their uniform. To help with this, Troop 767 is going to establish a Second Hand Shop for uniforms, boots, sleeping bags, backpacks and other equipment.
In order to obtain “stock” I am asking all past and present troop members to hunt out uniforms and equipment they no longer need. These items can be donated directly to the troop or can be sold on a 50/50 basis with you taking half the sale price.
This is a new venture in the troop, the success of which will depend on donations and demand. As items come to the troop, we will catalogue them and post them on the troop web site. Management of the store will be done as a Position of Responsibility along with an adult to oversee the project.
If you would like to donate or offer items for sale please contact Tom Gray by e-mail or phone and I will arrange for you to drop them off or we can come to your home to pick them up. The troop still meets at Northeast Middle school on Tuesday nights from 7 to 8:30 for convenient drop off .
